An Akron man who barricaded himself inside a home in Cuyahoga Falls took to social media during a standoff with police Wednesday to let the world know he thought he was going to jail.
Beacon Journal news partner newsnet5.com reports that Hunter A. Edwards, 37, barricaded himself and a female acquaintance inside the home when Cuyahoga Falls police tried to serve an arrest warrant on Edwards.
Edwards refused to come out and police determined he was in the home with Corrina A. Croskey, 44, of Cuyahoga Falls, newsnet5.com reported.
“There is no way I’m getting out of this one. Im gojng to jail and ill see you in a few years!” Edwards posted on his Facebook page during the ordeal.
The Summit County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team was called to the 1700 block of Third Street at about 5:20 p.m. Croskey came out of the house about 8 p.m. and Edwards came out shortly later. Police found marijuana in the home, newsnet5.com reported.
Edwards was taken into custody and taken to the Summit County Jail. Croskey was charged with resisting arrest and obstructing justice was also taken to the jail.
