Broadway musical on screens

George Takei, best known for playing Sulu in Star Trek, also helped create the Broadway musical Allegiance. It was inspired by his family’s experiences during World War II, as people of Japanese descent were sent to internment camps around the U.S. The show makes its big-screen premiere at 7:30 p.m. in local cinemas, including Montrose, Cuyahoga Falls, Hudson, Macedonia and Valley View; stars include Tony-winner Lea Salonga and Takei himself. www.fathomevents.com.

Wine tasting in Medina

Six wines, paired with appetizers, will be featured at a 7 p.m. tasting with Traderman Distributors at H2 Huth & Harris Wine Merchants at 221 S. Court St. in Medina. Cost is $40. To reserve a spot, go to www.h2winemerchants.com.
