A pair of Akron men were arrested Monday night on charges of robbing a Stratford Avenue home at gunpoint.
Lee C. Garrett, 27, and LaNair GD Parker, 26, were charged with aggravated burglary, aggravated robbery and possession of criminal tools. Parker also was charged with using a fake firearm in a crime. Both men were booked into the Summit County Jail.
The home invasion happened shortly before midnight in the 500 block of Stratford Avenue. Garrett and Parker allegedly forced open a door and entered the home wearing ski masks, Parker armed with a BB gun that appeared real. They demanded property and fled with a PlayStation 4, a bookbag, two cellphones and a bank card.
Police responding to a 911 call found Garrett and Parker walking nearby at West Market Street and Rhodes Avenue. Police recovered the stolen property, a crowbar, the BB gun and ski masks.
