ELYRIA, OHIO: Authorities in Northeast Ohio say a man fatally shot his girlfriend, then wounded a man and woman at a different location before a police pursuit that ended with the suspect fatally shooting himself in the head.
Elyria police say they responded to a report of gunfire Sunday around 11 p.m. and found 40-year-old Kiesha Betton shot in the torso. She died at a hospital.
Investigators say the victim’s boyfriend, Leonzo Bufford, shot her and then drove to a home in South Euclid, where he shot a man and woman, who were hospitalized in serious condition. Police say a victim in the second shooting is believed to be one of Bufford’s ex-girlfriends.
Authorities say Bufford led officers on a chase that ended in Cleveland, where Bufford fatally shot himself.
