The brother of Hannah Hill, the Akron woman slain in 1999, was found dead Sunday inside his Kenmore neighborhood home.

Justin Hill, who served as a family spokesman during last year’s trial of his sister’s suspected killer Denny Ross, was found by family members about 2 p.m. inside his 31st Street Southwest home.

An autopsy performed Monday found no signs of foul play, according to the Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office. An official ruling will come after toxicology tests are performed. Hill was 35.

Hannah Hill, 18, was found in the trunk of her car strangled to death in 1999. Ross was identified as a suspect and went to trial in 2000. His case ended in a mistrial and a string of appeals followed. He was convicted in October and sentenced to life in prison.

At the sentencing hearing, Justin Hill demanded Ross, now 34, look at him while he called the former Springfield Township man remorseless. Afterward, Justin Hill met with reporters and expressed satisfaction in the lengthy prison term Ross received.

Justin Hill is survived by his parents, Elza and Kimberly Hill, and two brothers.

Funeral services have not been announced.
