EUCLID, OHIO: Hot weather is causing some schools in Ohio to cut classes short.
Temperatures reaching the low 90s forced several schools across the state to close their doors early on Tuesday and Wednesday.
In Euclid, Noble Academy Cleveland had told parents it would dismiss three hours early on Tuesday and again Wednesday. Parents tell WJW-TV that the change caused a hassle for them because school buses aren’t available for early dismissal.
Officials said three Bowling Green City School buildings without air conditioning were dismissing early on Wednesday due to potentially unsafe conditions for the students. Temperatures were expected to reach 92 degrees in the city.
Several Dayton-area school districts also were planning to dismiss early due to the unusually warm temperatures.
